reCAP :: Furthur Bus 50th Anniversary Tour ft. Cabinet :: 2014.07.29
A few hours into the night American bluegrass band, Cabinet, took to the stage and began jamming to their rock enthused, primarily instrumental hits. Completely entrancing the audience by combining the sounds of the mandolin, guitar and banjo, amongst other instruments, to make notable and unique music for everyone to enjoy.
The night took an unforgettable turn when the psychedelic Furthur bus rolled up and parked directly outside the doors to Garcia’s. For its 50th year anniversary the historic Furthur bus made its arrival to Garcia’s one to remember. The audience swarmed to see the intricate colors and designs that came with the legendary bus, and stayed to watch a spectacular performance on top of the bus. Cabinet took to the roof and continued to play their rocking bluegrass hits, acoustically, as the entire audience watched from the sidewalk.
After a few songs, the band took a break the audience took some pictures and everyone found themselves back in Garcia’s to finish off the night. Cabinet had plenty more music in them to leave the audience excited. After Cabinet finished their set it was clear that dead heads and Cabinet fans alike, everyone left Garcia’s with full hearts and wide smiles.
Art, lights, music and more the Furthur Bus and Cabinet left us with a night we won’t forget for years to come.
Needless to say, the bus the came by and everyone got on.
