Accessibility at The Capitol Theatre

Venue Accessibility

The Capitol Theatre is committed to providing an accessible environment, and ensuring an inclusive and comfortable experience, for all of our guests. Our venue has been built in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state requirements and guidelines. We offer a range of accommodations for patrons with disabilities or accessibility needs, all of which are based on availability.

We have made our public spaces wheelchair-friendly and our staff is always on hand to assist. Please ask to speak with a manager if you encounter any problems.

Wheelchair & Limited Mobility Seating

The Orchestra section includes an elevated platform with designated wheelchair-accessible and limited mobility seating. These seats can be purchased through Ticketmaster or in person at our box office.

Please note: ADA patrons must hold ADA tickets in order to be seated in the designated ADA section. If the ADA section is sold out and you're unable to purchase accessible seating, unfortunately, that means there are no ADA seats currently available.

That said, we will always do our best to assist you. If you need wheelchair, limited mobility, or companion seating and were unable to secure ADA tickets, please email boxoffice@thecapitoltheatre.com with your full name and the type of seating you require. We'll let you know if any options become available.

If you have already purchased non-ADA tickets and would like to request a relocation into the ADA section, please include your Ticketmaster confirmation number in your email. All seating adjustments are based on availability.

Sign Language Interpretation

The Capitol Theatre offers sign language interpreters upon request for any show. Requests must be submitted in writing at least one month in advance by emailing boxoffice@thecapitoltheatre.com. All requests are subject to availability.

Sight-Impaired Seating

If you require seating accommodations for sight impairment, please contact boxoffice@thecapitoltheatre.com. We’re happy to assist, based on availability.

Ticket Exchanges

If you’ve already purchased tickets and need to exchange them for ADA seating, email us at boxoffice@thecapitoltheatre.com with your full name and Ticketmaster confirmation number.

Please note: If your tickets were purchased through a third-party reseller, we are unable to process exchanges or refunds.

Web Accessibility

The Capitol Theatre is committed to promoting digital accessibility to all our guests. We strive to facilitate an accessible and positive user experience for everyone and aim to conform as closely as possible to the relevant WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1) at the AA level.

We have taken a variety of steps and devoted resources to enhancing the accessibility of our website.

While we strive to make our website as user friendly as possible, we can not speak to any 3rd-party content, links, or plug-ins.
