6 of the Best Twiddle Milestones That Prove Dreams Come True
Happy birthday to Twiddle's keyboardist Ryan Dempsey! As you may or may not know, Twiddle is made up of lead singer and guitarist Mihali Savoulidis, percussionist Brook Jordan, keyboardist and organ player Ryan Dempsey, and bassist Zdenek Gubb. Their music surpasses genres, blending elements of jazz, reggae, funk, classical, and jam. In anticipation of Twiddle's debut performance at The Cap on Saturday, May 7, we've put together some awesomely special moments from their career.
1. "Do your best, take your step"
In 2004, Twiddle met and formed at Castleton State University in Vermont on orientation day. They met when guitarist Mihali Savoulidis and keyboardist Ryan Dempsey skipped the official orientation events to jam together instead. Twiddle's determination to start a band together was essential, and this is a prime example of fate intervening!
2. "Have you heard of the Jamflowman?"
In 2007, Twiddle released their debut album, The Natural Evolution of Consciousness. This album was their first full-length studio effort and it's evident that talent, hard work, and determination allowed it to flourish. Give it a listen!

Twiddle showed off their extraordinary talents on their 2011 album, Somewhere On the Mountain . The 12 track album came out just in time as the band was taking over the festival circuit while winning the hearts and fans.

On September 6, 2013, Twiddle finally made their way to our very own Garcia's. They would play 3 more joyously shredtastic times in 2014, playing several after-shows following Phil Lesh & Friends. Watch them play "Mamunes The Faun" at Garcia's in 2014.

In 2015, with lots of hard work and determination, Twiddle successfully funded their Kickstarter campaign to fund their fourth studio album "PLUMP." They quickly reaching their goal in 22 hours. Check out a glimpse into the making of the album!

On Saturday, May 7, The Capitol Theatre is excited to team up with Live for Live Music to present Twiddle at The Cap for their debut performance with TAUK! In Twiddle fashion, the band wants to see the boundless good its incredible community can collectively manifest. A contest is behind held through to in a Presidential Booth at The Cap for four!
To win, fans must email video clip submissions by Thursday March 31, to twiddlepromo@gmail.com. The videos should document a truly selfless gesture for someone else, preferably someone you don’t know. Throughout the 3 weeks of the contest, the band will be periodically sharing their favorites, only to announce the top 3 winners on Monday April 4th.
